Want to work in Training? Check out the ASTD Atlanta “unConference”

I’m delighted to be one of the presenters at the next STC Atlanta Chapter meeting, August 24th, on the subject of “Moving from Technical Writing to Training Development.”

For STC members who are interested in the training field, I also want to recommend another opportunity. On August 23, the day before the chapter meeting, the Greater Atlanta Chapter of ASTD will hold its first unConference.

The format of the unConference features simultaneous, brief presentations by multiple speakers. A total of 13 sessions will be offered on topics related to workplace learning, e-learning, and the training business.

There will also be sponsor tables, information on ASTD (the American Society for Training and Development), food and drink, and loads of networking opportunities.

The unConference takes place Monday, August 23, at the Doubletree Hotel Atlanta
Northwest off of Windy Hill Rd. in Marietta. The event runs from 3:30 – 7:00 p.m.

To learn more and to register, visit the ASTD Atlanta web site at http://www.astdatlanta.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=53.

I hope to see you there!
